RESUMO

Objective To investigate the anti-tumor activity and mechanism of lapatinib, paclitaxel and their combination on esophageal cancer cells EC109. Methods MTT assay was used to detect the effects of lapatinib (1, 2, 4, 8 μmol/L), paclitaxel (5, 10, 20, 40 μg/L) and their combination on the proliferation of esophageal cancer cells EC109. We tested the effects of 2 μmol/L lapatinib, 10 μg/L paclitaxel and their combination on the invasion, cell cycle, apoptosis and EGFR, HER2 and downstream signaling pathways of EC109 cells. Results Lapatinib combined with paclitaxel synergistically inhibited the proliferation of EC109 cells, and the combined action index was greater than 1.15. The number of invaded cells in the combination group (62.0±9.5) was significantly less than those in the lapatinib group (152.4±16.1) and the paclitaxel group (103.6±12.7) (P < 0.05). G2/M cells in the combination group ((43.4±3.1)%) was higher than those in lapatinib group ((20.3±2.5)%) and paclitaxel group ((26.6±2.8)%) (P < 0.05). The apoptosis rate of the combination group was (47.3±8.4)%, higher than those of lapatinib ((12.7±2.3)%) and paclitaxel group ((21.4±5.2)%) (P < 0.05). Lapatinib combined with paclitaxel could synergistically inhibit the expression of phosphorylated EGFR, HER2 and AKT proteins. Conclusion Lapatinib combined with paclitaxel exert synergistic antitumor activity by synergistically inhibiting the proliferation and invasion of esophageal cancer cell line EC109, arresting cell cycle, inducing apoptosis and inhibiting the transduction of EGFR/HER downstream signaling pathway.

RESUMO

Objective@#The purpose of this study is to systematically review the literature about surgical management of lymphedema, to provide recomendations for the surgical treatment plan of the disease.@*Methods@#Cochrane Library and EMBASE databases were searched from January 1st, 2007 to October 1st, 2017 for the literature related to the surgical treatment of lymphedema. Data were extracted from clinical studies matching our inclusion criteria. Meta-analysis was performed with R 3.4.2.@*Results@#71 studies were included, out of which 4 studies described were excision, 9 were liposuction, 33 were lymphvenous anastomosis(LVA), 23 were vascularized lymph node transfer(VLNT) and 5 were combined therapy. The excess volume reduction were averaged 96.86%(95%CI: 87.38%—106.33%, I2=0%)for liposuction, 34.64%(95%CI: 19.80%—49.47%, I2=72%)for LVA, 36.85%(95%CI: 12.40%—61.30%, I2=81%) for VLNT.@*Conclusions@#With further understanding of the pathophysiology of lymphedema and development of radiologic and surgical technique, surgical treatment has the potential to play an important role in lymphedema complex management.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE@#To explore the behaviors related to infectious disease and family factors in primary and middle school students, and to provide evidence for improving behaviors related to infectious disease.
@*METHODS@#A total of 8465 students were randomly surveyed by a standard questionnaire of behaviors related to infectious disease. Chi-square test was used to analyze the influential factors for behaviors related to infectious disease, and non conditional logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the multiple factors.
@*RESULTS@#The total formation rate of behaviors related to infectious disease was 66.4%. The rates for primary and middle school students were 69.4% and 62.8% respectively, with significant difference (P<0.05). There were significant differences in the following behaviors, such as washing hands before eating food, rarely buying snacks on outside stalls, informing teachers when showing infectious disease symptoms (all P<0.05), the degree for such behaviors in primary school students was higher than that in middle school students. There were also significant differences in the following behaviors, such as washing hands after using the toilet, blocking with a handkerchief, wiping while coughing and sneezing (all P<0.05), the degree for such behaviors in middle school students was higher than that in primary school students. Non conditional logistic regression analysis showed that the behaviors related to infectious disease in primary and middle school students were associated with parents' education degree, mother's occupation and living status with parents.
@*CONCLUSION@#Behaviors related to infectious disease in primary and middle school students need to be improved, and the formation of these behaviors may be related to many family factors.

RESUMO

Lamellar particles(lamellae) were prepared by non-solvent precipitation from crystalic poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). The PLLA lamellae exhibite a diamond or stepped irregular shape with a size range between 3-5 microns. Prepared without any surfactants and dispersing agents, the lamellar particles have clean surface, which is advantageous for the adsorption of proteins. The PLLA lamellar particles adsorbed protein cytokine interferon-alpha (IFN-alpha) with an adsorption efficiency of > or = 95%. The release of loaded IFN could continue for more than 10 days. The cell incubation experiments showed that the PLLA lamellar particles were easy to be phagocytosed by macrophages. The immunological experiments showed that the biological activity of IFN-alpha loaded on the PLLA lamellar particle was effectively retained.
